On October 18, the grand opening ceremony of the 19th CPC National Congress was held in Beijing. The ceremony was broadcast live by media including China National Radio, China Central Television and People’s Daily Online. Xindu people paid intensive attention to the ceremony via radio, TV and internet, witnessing solemn moments of great historical significance.
The Congress was on the theme of remembering and staying true to the socialist mission, upholding the great socialism with Chinese characteristics, and making unremitting efforts to finally build a moderately well-off society, secure the victory of Chinese socialism in the new era, and make China great again.
On the morning of that day, Xu Xingguo, Secretary of the CPC Xindu District Committee, Li Yun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xindu District Committee and Head of the District Government, Dai Jun, Director of the Standing Committee of Xindu District People’s Congress, Fang Zhengxing, Chairman of Xindu District People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Pan Jie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xindu District Committee watched the live streaming.
In the past five years, Chinese people have made brilliant achievements and realized leapfrog development with responsibility and bravery to face challenges. And now, Chinese people have a clear mind and full confidence to seize opportunities of the future. It is widely believed that comrade Xi Jinping’s speech is comprehensive, profound and inspiring; of ideological, contemporary and progressive significance, it serves as a guiding principle for building modern socialism with Chinese characteristics and reflects the common will and hope across the Party and the country. In front of televisions, officials applauded a lot for Xi’s speech.
Standing committee members Zhong Siyong, Liu Nuhai, Zhang Jiguang, Zheng Ziqiang and Liu Bin also watched the live streaming.
