The Introduction of Infrastructure Construction in Xindu District
In recent years, Xindu District has continuously improved the urban living environment and facilitated life and work of the residents through thoroughly implementing the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress and the new development philosophy issued on the provincial and municipal congresses of party representatives, focusing on the new positioning of “North Transform” and “Central Optimization”, intensifying the city traffic network, optimizing city public service facilities and functions and promoting the construction of eco-facilities. The details of the urban infrastructure construction carried out by the Municipal and Rural Construction Bureau of Xindu District are as follows.
First, we are vigorously carrying out transportation infrastructure construction. Xindu District has successively built Huoyun Avenue, Rongdu Avenue, Shulong Avenue, Machao Road and other primary and secondary lines, basically forming the urban road pattern featuring “Ten Vertical Lines, Nine Horizontal Lines and One Ring Road”. Additionally, we are now playing the leading role in promoting the construction of subway auxiliary facilities like Line 3 (Phase 3), Line 5 (Phase 1) of Chengdu Metro and the under-railway tunnel of Dafeng Parking Station
Second, we are accelerating the construction of public service facility. Xindu Passenger Hub, the relocation of Xindu District Hospital, the extension of Xiangcheng Primary School, the relocation of Xindu No.1 Middle School have already been completed and put into use. Additionally, 5 colleges and universities (including Southwest Petroleum University), 4 general hospitals (including the People's Hospital of Xindu District), 4 comprehensive sports centers, 20 middle schools, 32 primary schools, 84 kindergartens and 33 farmer's markets have been built. We will promote the construction of the six middle schools, primary schools and kindergartens in Beiyan Xinju, Dafeng Town.
Third, we are continually building the eco-facility network. Xindu District has already built up 29 parks and green belts (including Guihu Park and Xindu Sports Forest Park), 183.52 kilometers of urban and rural greenways. In the Ecological Belt, we have already built 1,680 mu ecological wetland (including Xiangcheng Wetland) and over 15 thousand mu green lands and parks. Besides, the project of Nibatuo Forest Park is now being carried forward orderly and the special plan of Sponge City Construction is stepping forward in a fast way.
In the future, we will put the urban infrastructure construction at the key position of the “North Transform” and “Central Optimization” industrial layout, improve the quality of urban construction, focus on building high-standard and multi-level traffic networks, public service system with integrating resources and optimizing functions and urban green space that combines values of ecology and ornament.
First, we will build multi-level traffic networks, boost the construction of urban roads and slow system, and promote the construction of rail transit, thus ensuring the availability of micro-circulation system. Second, we will accelerate the promotion of public service quality, speed up the construction of middle schools, primary schools and kindergartens and distribute education resource properly and balancedly. The parking facilities will be arranged properly to ensure the sustainable development of urban integrated transportation. Third, we will strengthen environment protection and build green space that combines values of ecology and ornament, and promote the construction of Xiangcheng farmland wetland and Nibatuo Forest Park.
